I’ve been listening to.. #2
1. The Wildhearts
2. Black Spiders
3. Four Year Strong
4. Steel Panther
5. Ghost of a Thousand
This week I’ve STILL been listening the hell out of The Wildhearts, so no surprise to see them at the top of my list.
I actually saw Black Spiders support the WH last month, they were worth the admission price alone. Very cool, pretty heavy and some good riff-age. If you like Clutch you should check Black Spiders out.
I’ll be seeing Four Year Strong and Ghost of A Thousand tonight as they are both on the bill for the Alexisonfire gig at the Portsmouth Pyramids (no joy getting a photo pass for this gig).
Finally, Steel Panther who are an amazing and hilarious mockery of 80’s glam metal.
Absolutely ridiculous, clever and completely NSFW lyrics, their songs are all about partying and f**king. My personal favourite tracks are “Asian Hooker”, “Death To All But Metal” and “Community Property”.
Along with the Alexisonfire show tonight, I’m also seeing Irish wonders Therapy? tomorrow night at Portsmouth Wedgewood rooms. I’m down for a photopass so expect some pictures of the night.
